The National Kidney Foundation has bestowed this year’s Celeste Castillo Lee Patient Engagement Award to Curtis H. Warfield, a living-donor recipient and advocate, according to a press release.
The foundation honors Warfield’s dedication as a regional leader of several NKF committees including the Kidney Advocacy Committee, Patient Network, Patient Diversity Workgroup and Task Force on Reassessing the Inclusion of Race in Diagnosing Kidney Disease. He also serves as a mentor with NKF’s Peer Program, a member of the board of directors of NKF of Indiana and a member of the board of directors of Home Dialyzors United.
