Shameka Smalls is a native of Savannah, Ga and currently works in the technology field.  She was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2007 and has since been undergoing hemodialysis.  As a patient she started the Non-profit Kidney Disease Unfiltered, an organization that seeks to educate and raise awareness about kidney disease.
